Is it very hard to get a job in financial services without internships?
Q. Like as a portfolio analyst or something with a wealth management company. I was applying to jobs in financial services but now I'm thinking about taking more classes part-time. I guess I am feeling a little lazy or like I don't know what I want to do. Would it be good to do a masters in applied math even if I don't know how it would help me?

A. Try getting a foot in the door via the operations division. Go to some of the agencies (in the UK try Michael Page etc) and ask what roles they have in settlements or documentation.

How do you find contractor jobs in financial services? ?
Q. I currently work in financial services as a broker but want to find out about contracting jobs. I have a friend who has less qualifications than me ie F.P.C.12&3 that deals with bank complaints. He didn't have any knowledge of this type of job before he started. I want to work in or around London, so if anyone could let me know how I would go about it please let me know!

A. By contracting,do you mean working for a company but not as an employee of that company or do u mean the legal side of things? if it is the former, then, building your own company website and registering yourself as a company could be a starting point, that way they can search for you and u can start working for yourself. You could also contact agencies cos they are good at matching you with the job. You will have that flexibility of moving from one contract to the next, not stuck with one company. If your question is regards to contracts, then I haven't got a clue.

Is Financial Services Company a scam?
Q. I am a stay at home mom and would like to work full time from home. I posted my resume, and got various e-mails from different companies and I can't figure out if they're legitimate. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Necessary Financial Services Company or any of these money transfer companies. The descriptions are vague and I'm not really sure how they work.
